Two scientific student clubs of the Faculty of Economics organized the NZB National Seminar with the Warsaw Institute of Banking "Economy and Finance in Poland and the World"

On June 10, 2025, members and guardians of the International Finance Scientific Club and the Start-UP Entrepreneurship Scientific Club operating at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Gdańsk took part in the National Seminar of the Association of Polish Banks entitled "Economy and Finance in Poland and the World".

 

The event was organized for the umpteenth time by the Modern Business Management Program in cooperation with the Warsaw Institute of Banking, the Association of Polish Banks, and three scientific groups participated from the University of Gdańsk: the International Finance Scientific Club and the Start-UP Entrepreneurship Scientific Club operating at the Faculty of Economics, and the Finance and Banking Scientific Group operating at the Faculty of Management.

The International Finance Club supervisor, dr Magdalena Markiewicz, and the Start-UP Entrepreneurship Student Research Club supervisor, dr Ewa Ignaciuk, took part in the conference inauguration, representing the Faculty of Economics, while Dr. Piotr Pisarewicz participated on behalf of the Faculty of Management.

 

Students representing the University of Gdańsk presented specially prepared and research-based presentations, which were met with great interest by participants from universities across Poland, including students, academics, and business practitioners.

 

36 speakers from 9 universities took part in the seminar, presenting 27 papers, with a total of 70 participants from 13 universities.

 

Students from the International Finance Student Research Club and students from the Start-UP Entrepreneurship Student Research Club presented a total of 4 papers.

 

The speakers and listeners represented the following universities:

Stefan Batory Academy of Applied Sciences in Skierniewice, Gdańsk University of Technology, Koszalin University of Technology, Rzeszów University of Technology, Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin, Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń, University of Gdańsk, Kazimierz Wielki University in Bydgoszcz, University of Szczecin, WSB Merito University in Gdańsk, WSB Merito University in Gdynia, WSB Merito University in Toruń, Higher School of Administration and Business in Gdynia.

Participation in the seminar was not only an opportunity for students of the University of Gdańsk to present the results of their own analyses, but also a valuable experience in public speaking, exchanging knowledge with representatives of other universities and institutions.
