Academics from the Department of Microeconomics represented the Faculty of Economics at the XXI National Congress of Economists
Academics from the Department of Microeconomics represented the Faculty of Economics at the University of Gdańsk during the 21st National Congress of Economists, held from 1 to 4 June 2025 and organised by the University of Szczecin.
Prof. Leszek Czerwonka and Dr. Marcin Brycz, presented an analysis of the role of financial knowledge in shaping the relationship between pro-trade attitude and long-term planning. Prof. Anna Blajer-Gołębiewska, in collaboration with Dr. Arkadiusz Kozłowski from the Faculty of Management, presented the findings of a study on the factors shaping attitudes toward the adoption of artificial intelligence in small and medium-sized enterprises. Dr. Elżbieta Babula presented the results of a study conducted jointly with Dr. Agata Olechnowicz-Szewczyk, focusing on retirement and financial ignorance in the context of retirement savings.
These studies contribute to the growing body of research in behavioural economics—one of the key areas of interest currently pursued by Departments of Microeconomics worldwide.
The participation of the Faculty of Economics in the Congress constituted a valuable contribution to the ongoing academic discourse on the challenges facing today’s economy and provided a platform for the exchange of insights with scholars from other academic institutions.
