I like coming back… World Graduate Meeting at the Faculty of Economics on 31.05.2025

A unique event that will unite generations of Graduate and bring back memories by returning to the walls of Alma Mater – the Graduate Meeting of the University of Gdańsk will be held on Saturday, 31 May 2025.

The Graduate Meeting of the Higher School of Economics, the Faculty of Transport Economics, and the Faculty of Economics of the University of Gdańsk will be held from 11:00 to 13:00 in the building of the Faculty of Economics.

Location: Sopot, ul. Armii Krajowej 119/121, Aula im. Tadeusz Ocioszyński.

• Registration of Participants at the main entrance to the Faculty of Economics
• Tour of the Faculty, taking souvenir photos
• Signing and writing short notes in the Anniversary Book of the Graduate Meeting of the Faculty of Economics (at the Aula)
• Taking seats in the Tadeusz Ocioszyński Aula

11.00 – 12.40

• Welcome of Participants by the Dean, dr hab. Wojciech Bizon, prof. UG
• Meeting of Deans and Vice-Deans of all terms
• Presentation of milestones in the history of the Faculty
• Inspiring stories from the life of the Faculty of Economics – Julian Skelnik, Honorary Consul of the Kingdom of Denmark, member of the Expert Council of the Faculty of Economics
• Music Live! at the Faculty of Economics – Adam Kalinowski, winner of the 11th edition of The Voice of Poland in 2020 and the 5th edition of Idol in 2017
• Group photo of Graduates in front of the main entrance to the Faculty of Economics. Due to the large number of participants in the reunion, a group commemorative photo will be taken in the parking lot. Please proceed smoothly from the Hall to the designated photo location.

The Reunion at the Faculty of Economics will be attended by nearly 500 graduates of the Higher School of Economics, the Faculty of Transport Economics, and the Faculty of Economics of the UG – colleagues from the same year, lecturers, and friends.

It will be a beautiful day filled with memories, smiles, emotions, and a connection across generations.

After the official part, a coach ride from Sopot to the Oliwa Campus is planned.

1.00 p.m. – 1.30 p.m. coach ride to the University of Gdańsk Campus in Gdańsk-Oliwa

The coaches will depart one by one from the bus stop ‘SIKORSKIEGO 03’ at Armii Krajowej Street just after the Niemen roundabout in the direction of Gdańsk (approx. 400 m - a 6-minute walk from the Faculty of Economics).

at 1.05 p.m. and at 1.20 p.m. so that all registered participants of the Graduate Meetings at the Sopot Campus will be able to reach the Oliwa Campus on time.

The programme of the ceremony at the Oliwa Campus:

• Approx. 13.30 Group photo of the meeting participants,
• 14.00-17.00 Main part at the Oliwa Campus:

  Official welcome by the Rector of the University of Gdańsk,

  Performances by artistic groups operating at the Academic Cultural Centre UG,

  Informal conversations, memories, and refreshments for participants.

The event is open, but for organisational reasons, online registration was required, which had to be completed by May 10th.
