Representatives of the Faculty of Economics, University of Gdańsk, Participated in the 11th International Maritime Congress in Szczecin

On 15–16 May 2025, the 11th International Maritime Congress took place in Szczecin, one of the most important events for the maritime industry in Poland and Europe. The Faculty of Economics of the University of Gdańsk was represented at the Congress by Professor  Barbara Pawłowska, Professor Ernest Czermański, Dr Dorota Książkiewicz, who actively participated in the discussion panels.

The Congress brought together representatives of the international maritime community, offering participants plenary sessions for a wide audience, as well as specialised discussions in thematic blocks. Key topics focused on the development of port infrastructure, the shipbuilding industry, offshore sectors, inland waterways, and road and rail connections within European transport corridors.

Participants also debated the future of renewable energy, ESG strategies, digitalisation, and new technologies in the maritime sector. The Congress served as a platform for exchanging views on regulations, policies, and strategies for the development of the maritime sector.
