Sporting Success of Our Faculty of Economics Student in the TCR Italy Series
We are proud to share that Michał Bartoszuk, a student of International Business at the Faculty of Economics, University of Gdańsk, made an impressive debut in international motorsport. During the opening weekend of the TCR Italy 2025 series at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli, Michał secured two second-place finishes in the rookie classification.
Michał is the first Polish driver ever to compete in the TCR Italy series. Representing MM Motorsport and partnering with Italian driver Jacopo Cimenes, he forms one of the youngest driver duos on the grid this season. His journey to the racetrack began in karting, with notable performances in Poland’s Rotax Max Challenge and Italy’s ROK Cup, followed by competing in the highly competitive KZ2 category with the factory team SODI|CPB.
“I had the right mindset, stayed calm, and focused on one goal – to finish the race and gain as much experience as possible. The race was demanding, but we executed our plan well. I’m very happy to have reached the podium with second place in the Rookie class,” Michał said after his first race in Misano.
Michał views the upcoming races as a learning experience and aims to secure a top-five position in the overall standings by the end of the season.
We wish continued success – both on the racetrack and in his academic journey at the University of Gdańsk!
