Meeting with the Consul of the US Embassy

Dear Students,

We invite you to a special meeting with a representative of the Embassy of the United States on Wednesday, November 20, at 10:00 in auditorium C301.

American diplomat Mr. Mathew Jernstedt will discuss summer student exchange programs in the USA. These include summer exchange programmes, internships that do not conflict with classes during the academic year, trips with the possibility of co-financing for second-cycle students, and internships and internships for students and graduates within 1 year after graduation.

The event will also feature a repeat participant who will advise on how to apply - from the perspective of a designated US Department of State partner.

The meeting will last approximately 60 minutes.

 

 

 

 

 

Speakers:

Mathew Jernstedt, Vice Consul of the USA
Mathew Jernstedt is a member of the US diplomatic corps with the rank of Vice Consul. Warsaw is his second diplomatic mission. He previously worked at the consulate in Mumbai, where he conducted over 30,000 visa interviews. Mathew received a master's degree in international security from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. Privately, he is passionate about travel, self-improvement, and public service.

Marek Witkowski, Designated Partner of the US Department of State, CCUSA Poland
Marek Witkowski has been cooperating with the US Department of State's Designated Partner for 15 years, thanks to which over a thousand students have had the opportunity to go on summer exchange programs to the United States under his wing. His American adventure began in the penultimate year of his master's studies.

Marcin Żukowski, a graduate of American Studies at the Faculty of Philology, University of Gdańsk
Marcin Żukowski is a three-time participant of the Work and Travel USA program who spent 11 months in the United States. During this time, he travelled over 10,000 miles, discovering the USA's east and west coasts, visiting cities such as New York, Las Vegas and Chicago, and national parks such as Yellowstone and the Grand Canyon.

CCUSA is an international organization offering summer trips to students from 62 countries. It has been designated as the US Department of State. It cooperates with 1,283 employers. Each participant is provided with 24/7 support. CCUSA is an official partner of the United States Embassy in Warsaw and the US Consulate General in Krakow.

The meetings will be held in English.
