Design Thinking Workshop for Solution and WOŚP
We are pleased to share that on September 19, 2024, we conducted a unique Design Thinking workshop!
Why was it unique?
it was the subject of an auction as part of this year's Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity!
This proposal was inspired by the academic experience of lecturers from the Faculty of Economics of the University of Gdańsk, supported by practical experience in implementing the design thinking method.
Our moderators introduced the workshop participants to the fascinating world of creative thinking, helping them discover new perspectives and generate innovative ideas! This proves that the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity plays all year round!
Our team's auction proposal was a great opportunity for development and a natural gesture supporting a noble cause.
We thank Solution for supporting WOŚP and participating in the "Inspiring Design Thinking workshop with moderators".
The idea of such a WOŚP auction was created in the autumn of 2023 by the team for marketing communication and promotion of the Faculty of Economics of the University of Gdańsk (dr Magdalena Markiewicz, dr Aleksandra Aziewicz, dr Adam Borodo, dr Magdalena Jażdżewska-Gutta, dr Małgorzata Ławreszuk, dr Marek Reysowski, mgr Dariusz Weiland).
The workshops were prepared as a special event, supported by a needs analysis as part of a complete design thinking cycle. A group of experienced Design Thinking Moderators at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Gdańsk was responsible for the multi-stage preparation and conduct of the intensive and dynamic workshop: dr Aleksandra Aziewicz, dr Dominik Aziewicz, dr hab. Joanna Bednarz, prof. UG, dr Magdalena Markiewicz, dr Agnieszka Szmelter – Jarosz.
As stated by dr Magdalena Markiewicz, vice-dean for development and cooperation with the socio-economic environment at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Gdańsk:
The workshop was also extraordinary because it combined theory with practice, science with business, the need to address individual needs, and establishing relationships based on professionalism, respect, and cooperation within the framework of shared time. Conducting didactic classes on a daily basis means that we have experience conducting trainings and workshops and that we analyse topics efficiently. However, this workshop was special for us.
Firstly, we achieved our goal of offering an effective auction for WOŚP, for which I would like to thank the entire faculty team for marketing communication and promotion. I would also like to thank the Communication and Promotion Centre of the University of Gdańsk.
Secondly, we faced the challenge of preparing a workshop for professionals using the Train the Managers formula. Our team of DT moderators approached this challenge with outstanding commitment. The workshop meeting was a great experience and brought many positive effects and inspirations.
Solution is a nationwide training company with extensive experience, specialising in HR consulting and management training, whose trainers know how important it is to adapt training tools to the needs of participants. This united us and gave us a common view of the possibilities of using the design thinking method in the empathy or prototyping phases.
As expressed by Solution’s CEO, Mr. Marcin Chabowski:
I want to thank Magda Markiewicz and her team for their excellent idea for the auction and for running a valuable workshop for us. We had the opportunity to stop, break away from everyday activities, and think about our clients' needs. We have interesting conclusions and will implement them and change for our clients.
Thanks to the entire team again. Thank you for your commitment, time, and effort in the workshops.
I also want to thank my team from SOLUTION for looking from a distance and new ideas.
We hope that all the results, impressions, and empirical materials developed at the University of Gdańsk will inspire the implementation of new and interesting solutions.
Above all, we are pleased that together we contributed to supporting WOŚP!
