Students of the Faculty of Economics took part in the program "Bridge2SDGbusiness - a step towards a career and sustainable innovation"
On December 18, 2024, the University of Gdańsk hosted the event "Bridge2SDGbusiness", which promoted entrepreneurship and developing the concept of sustainable business solutions and supporting the cooperation of interdisciplinary teams as part of the Living Lab Bounty Board (L2B2) initiative, developed by students of computer science at the University of Gdańsk and Univentum Labs as part of the TALENtBRIDGE program.
Participants developed innovative business ideas using the Business Model Canvas as part of workshops conducted by the Gdańsk Science and Technology Park.
"Bridge2SDGbusiness" is the next step in the TALENtBRIDGE Univentum Labs program, which supports entrepreneurship and interdisciplinary cooperation.
Univentum Labs, the Gdańsk Science and Technology Park, the Faculty of Mathematics, Physics, and Computer Science of the University of Gdańsk, and the Center for Sustainable Development of the University of Gdańsk organized the event.
The event was attended by students of the University of Gdańsk, including students from the Faculty of Economics, representing the fields of economics and international economic relations, including students from scientific groups operating at the Faculty of Economics: the Start-Up! Entrepreneurship Scientific Group and the International Finance Scientific Group.
During the meeting, representatives of the Gdańsk Science and Technology Park conducted workshops on entrepreneurship. An integral part was a competition for interdisciplinary student teams, which focused on developing creativity and business thinking.
The task of seven interdisciplinary teams from the Faculty of Economics, the Faculty of Management, the Faculty of Social Sciences and the Faculty of Mathematics, Physics and Computer Science was to develop innovative business concepts using the Business Model Canvas tool, to determine the added value for customers and to propose a market strategy. The best teams selected by voting were awarded small gifts.
