Meeting with Logistics Practice
Logistics Students Club invites you to the next Meeting with Logistics Practice which will take place on April 8 at 1:30 p.m. in the room C301. This time, the guest speaker will be Mr. Jakub Wawrzyniuk from Gdańsk Refinery.
The meeting will be conducted in Polish
Jakub Wawrzyniuk: Processing Director at Gdańsk Refinery
A graduate of the Faculty of Economics at the University of Gdańsk and a collector of certificates and diplomas in various fields.
He doesn’t mind when assumptions don’t always hold true, which is why he has found his place in logistics, supply chain management, production planning, and operational planning.
Although he enjoys bending over backwards, he strives to keep both feet on the ground. He is the Secretary of the Supervisory Board of Naftoport and Chairman of the Advisory Board for Strategic Petroleum Reserves at the President of the Government Agency for Strategic Reserves.
He is passionate about learning foreign languages: he is fluent in English, French, and Russian. Additionally, as a certified tax advisor, he is also proficient in the most dynamic "language"—tax regulations..
About the company:
Gdańsk Refinery is one of the most modern fuel production facilities in Europe and a key element of the national fuel supply chain. Thanks to its ownership structure (70% owned by Orlen S.A. and 30% by a company from the Aramco Capital Group), Gdańsk Refinery will actively participate in the development and implementation of green fuels for transport.
About the meeting:
During the meeting, the speaker will discuss the main components of the national crude oil and fuel logistics system, covering both primary and secondary logistics. He will also present the framework of the national compulsory oil and fuel stock obligation system and provide examples of its intervention releases to the market in recent years.
Additionally, attendees will learn about the fuels that will drive Poland’s economic growth in the future in the context of regulations aimed at reducing their emissions.
