ERGO Arena is also home to spectacular sports events. Opened in 2010 with volleyball match between Poland and Brazil, has so far hosted events such as the World League finals in volleyball in 2011, the KSW gala, or X-Fighters. In 2014 it will host the world championships in athletics. ERGO Arena is also a home for professional teams: men's basketball TREFL Sopot and volleyball ATOM Trefl and LOTOS Trefl (sport.trefl.com).

Sopot also hosts Polish championship in car racing and annual sail races. There are various sports clubs in Sopot: Sailing Club, Riding Club and Athletics Club. “OGNIWO Sopot” team compete successfuly in rugby league for years.
