Study wisit in PKP SKM

On December 13, 2023, in the hospitable premises of the PKP SKM w Tricity sp. z o.o., railway transport company, an educational trip for students of the field of economics, specializing in Logistics & Mobility took place.

The aim of the visit was to familiarize students with the specifics of the functioning of railway facilities and to show the economic consequences of the processes of maintaining rolling stock intended for passenger transport.

This is a unique time in the history of SKM, because the process of systemic replacement of rolling stock has begun, which takes place once every several dozen years. New vehicles are a completely different world in terms of diagnostics, maintenance and supply logistics.

The group's supervisor was dr. hab. Marcin Wołek, prof. UG from the Department of Transport Market at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Gdańsk.

It is worth mentioning that PKP SKM w Tricity sp. z o.o. is a business partner of the Faculty of Economics.
