Dean of the Faculty of Economics, on behalf of the Rector of the University of Gdańsk, opens a call for position of an Adiunkt (an Assistant Professor) in the team of researchers in the Centre for Corporate Responsibility Research at the Faculty of Economics.

The call is open for persons who satisfy requirements stipulated in the Law on Higher Education and Science from 20 July 2018 (Dz.U. z 2018 r., poz. 1668 ze zm.) and the statue of the University of Gdansk from 13 June 2019 r.

EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS:    

• fixed term employment for 1 year with a possibility to prolong for another 2 years (3 years in total)
• monthly salary of  10 000 zł brutto brutto (approximatelly 7 600 zł brutto)

STARTING DATE: 1 October 2023

REQUIREMENTS:

• Master’s degree in Economics, Econometrics or Finance
• The degree of doctor
• Experience in constructing and managing large datasets
• Knowledge of statistics and econometrics
• Experience in applying advanced panel data techniques
• Coding skills in either R, Stata and/or Python
• Fluent knowledge of English
• Experience with LaTex would be an advantage

DESCRIPTION OF TASKS:

• Collaboration in the 3 year research project on firm characteristics and corporate responsibility
• preparation and management of databases necessary for analysis (i.e. data download and collection, merging datasets from various sources)
• data analysis using advanced econometrics methods at firm level
• discussion of results in English
• presenting the research outcomes at conferences and seminars in English
• preparation of applications for funding for new research projects

9. a statement of compliance with the requirements  pursuant to Article 113 point s 2 and 3 of the Act of 20 July 2018 Law on Higher Education and Science (i.e. Journal of Laws of 2021, item 478 as amended),
10. a statement that the University of Gdańsk is /is not  the primary workplace under the Act.
