InfloGlob 2018

 

The 10th Jubilee InfoGlob 2018 conference was organized by the Institute of Maritime Transport and Seaborne Trade at the University of Gdańsk in cooperation with the Polish Academy of Science in Zabrze, the Faculty of Building Services, Hydro and Environmental Engineering of the Warsaw University of Technology, the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences (SGGW) and the Faculty of Fire Safety Engineering, the Main School of Fire Service in Warsaw, Faculty of Entrepreneurship and Quality Sciences of the Gdynia Maritime University. The chairman of the Scientific Council was dr hab. Krzysztof Dobrowolski, prof UG.

 

InfoGlob 2018 was organized under the auspices of His Magnificence dr hab. Jerzy Piotr Gwizdała, prof UG, the Rector of University of Gdańsk, His Magnificence prof. dr hab. inż. Jacek Namieśnik, the Rector of Gdańsk University of Technology and His Magnificence nadbryg. dr hab. inż. Paweł Kępka, prof. SGSS, the Rector of Main School of Fire Service. Honorary patronage over conference was held by The Mayor of Gdańsk Paweł Adamowicz, The Mayor of Sopot Jacek Karnowski and The Mayor of Gdynia Wojciech Szczurek.

 

The conference took place on September 18-20 on the board of M/F Wawel on the route Gdańsk - Nynäshamn - Gdańsk and was focused on the challenges of sustainable development in the areas of economy, society and the environment. The aim of the InfoGlob 2018 conference was the integration of the scientific communities and business practitioners, exchange of views and presentation of research results and practical experiences related to the range of the topics of the conference.

 

As previous years, the conference was divided into plenary, panel and a poster session. The debates were attended by researchers from 18 academic and scientific centers, such as the University of Gdańsk, Confucius Institute at University of Gdańsk, National Research Tomsk State University (Russia), Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management in Opatija (Croatia), Ternopil National Economic University (Ukraine ), the Gdynia Maritime University, the Warsaw University of Life Sciences, the Main School of Fire Service in Warsaw, the Warsaw University of Technology, the Gdańsk University of Technology, the University of Szczecin, the University of Zielona Góra, University of Łódź, Central Laboratory for Radiological Protection, Wroclaw University of Science and Technology, Lublin University of Technology, Faculty of Economics and Information Technology in Wilno (University of Białystok), John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin.

 

All papers accepted by the Scientific Committee and presented during the conference, had been subjected to double blind peer-review and were included in the Volume 57 (2018) of conference proceedings published on SHS Web of Conferences (Open Access proceedings in Humanities and Social Sciences).
