Posted on 2012-10-23

This upcoming weekend, 27-28 October 2012, Erasmus Student Network UG Gdańsk (Gdańsk located section of the student organization devoted to support foreign exchange students) will organize the first self-development workshop "Students Helping Students", where experienced members of ESN will share their knowledge and skills with UG students.

The training includes the organization of events, creativity, communication, time management, Google applications and creating presentations. The workshop will be complemented by two presentations - at the beginning "Studying is not everything", which will tell you why you should get involved in the student life, as well as a presentation about happiness and maximizing your potential as a way to achieve it, prepared by psychology students.

There will be also a special workshop aimed at students who have returned from Erasmus exchange and need to get used to the Polish life again. The so-called "Post-Erasmus syndrome” is unfortunately frequent among students returning from exchange. During the workshop we will focus on coping with Post-Erasmus stress, negative emotions and lack of understanding, as well as a realistic balance of gains and losses.

"Students Helping Students" is a new ESN UG project, which in its name uses the motto of the organization focused on helping international students and the promoting international exchanges. Among the projects and programs at the University of Gdansk held annually by Erasmus Student Network, it's worth mentioning Mentor, Tandem, Orientation Week for Erasmus, Erasmus Day, Non-Corporate Summer, Discover Europe, SocialErasmus, ESNcard. All those who qualify for an Erasmus grant for the academic year 2013/2014, will be invited by Erasmus Student Network in June for a seminar workshop on "Time for Erasmus", which aims to integrate and prepare students to leave.

Participation in all workshops is free, but please pre-register via the form at Number of places is limited. The workshop will be held at the Faculty of Economics, 27-28 X 2012, from 9:30 am on Saturday and 11:00 on Sunday. Unfortunately, all workshops will be in Polish.
