Professor Wojciech Charemza

Graduated from the Faculty of Maritime Transport in 1971, as one of the first graduates of the newly established University of Gdansk. Professor of economics at the University of Leicester, UK and also a holder of the Polish title of professor.

• The advisor to the Governor of the Polish National Bank.
• Author and editor of monographs, scientific works and numerous articles in journals of worldwide circulation, including Review of Economic Studies, Economic Journal and Journal of Banking and Finance.
• Honorary Editor of the Scientific Journal Economic Change and Restructuring.
• Honorary Member of the Scientific Council, Romanian Academy of Sciences, National Institute of Economic Research.
• Principal coordinator of a number of large international research projects financed by the European Union.
