Information for Authors

The journal's profile refers to the problems of the contemporary world economy. The issues raised in the articles concentrate on the international market development, organization and management of business processes and financial market performance.

Article submission

While writing an article, an author is supposed to comply with editing standards available for downloading in the Downloads tab on the left.

When submitting an article, the authors confirm that it has not been published before and has not been submitted for reviewing/publishing in another scientific journal.

Reviewing procedure

The articles submitted will be reviewed by two independent reviewers. The editorial board agreed on the anonymity between the authors and reviewers (double blind review process). In order to ensure anonymity, the text of every article is sent without the author’s name/surname and without the information that would possibly facilitate any identification.

The review of scientific articles in the International Business and Global Economy takes a written form. The authors are notified of their reviews be e-mail or by post within 10 days from the final date of submitting reviews in a given year.

An article is accepted for publication as sent to the editorial board when two positive reviews end with the conclusion of publishing the text without additional changes. In the case of any changes suggested by the reviewers, the authors are supposed to send electronically their texts corrected within 15 days from receiving their reviews. The editorial board reserves itself the right to introduce editorial abbreviations and changes, without consulting them with the authors. The scientific editor makes a final decision about accepting an article.

The articles accepted for publication are included in the current issue of our journal. Moreover, full texts and abstracts of the articles are posted on the journal’s official website, databases and digital libraries. When too many articles are submitted in a given year, the editorial board reserves itself the right to publish the article in another issue of the journal.

The assessment criteria considered by the reviewers include in particular:

  • achievement of the aim assumed by an author,
  • methodological correctness,
  • cognitive value,
  • selection and use of the literature,
  • language and technical details of an article.

The editorial board informs that the actions related to any scientific unreliability (ghostwriting and guest authorship) will be revealed and documented. Moreover, the institutions employing unreliable authors will be notified of such situations.

Ghostwriting means omitting a scientific article of a person who has significantly contributed to the publication. An example of ghostwriting is not mentioning this person in acknowledgements. Guest authorship, also referred to as honorary authorship, refers to a situation when a given person has not considerably contributed to an article or his/her contribution has been equal to zero, yet this person appears as an author/co-author of an article.

In order to avoid such unreliable procedures, the editorial board asks for specifying the contribution of particular authors to writing an article. It is necessary to include the information about the co-authors’ affiliation, the authorship of the concept, rules and methodology used in an article.

Moreover, in order to indentify financial support of the research/publication, the authors are obliged to reveal the information about this fact at the end of their article. For example: an article financed from independent sources of a university institute/department/unit (number and institution); sources of the research project (number and institution) or scholarship (name).

The editorial board informs that since 2014 electronic form is the original version of our journal.
