On April 12th, 2022 public PhD thesis defense of MSc Beata Szymanowska took place.

The title of PhD thesis:

"Innovation as a factor in the competitiveness of sea ports, with special regard to the port of Gdynia".

PhD thesis supervisor was Hanna Klimek, Associate Professor.
Auxiliary supervisor was Janusz Dąbrowski, PhD.

The Commission adopted the defense of doctoral dissertation.

On April 21st, 2022 the Scientific Council of Economics and Finance of the University of Gdańsk adopted resolution on the award of the degree of doctor in the field of social sciences in the discipline of economics and finance and the distinction of PhD thesis defense.
