"Logistics in theory and practice"-XVIII edition

On May 11-13, 2018, at the Maritime Station IO UG prof. Krzysztof Skóra on Hel took place XVIII Conference "Logistics in theory and practice". It was organized by students of the UG Logistics Group together with the academic supervisor - Dr Leszek Reszka and the organizational supervisor - Dr Agnieszka Szmelter.

The conference was attended by graduates of the University of Gdańsk, who were also members of the Scientific Circle of Logistics: Łukasz Drewczyński (Cefetra Polska), Piotr Wierzbicki (Federal Mogul Bimet) and Jan Wierzba (Enpire Transport). The speakers shared their knowledge and professional experience gained after graduation. The guests of the conference were also Prof. Cezary Mańkowski from the Logistics Department of UG and Prof. Jaroslav Mašek from the University of Žilina.

Another lecture was given by Patryk Wierzbowski, a PhD student at UG, and at the same time a former vice president of NKL, who shared his experience related to recruitment for inter-faculty doctoral studies in Economics, Finance and Management.

The last speech concerned the second annual NKL initiative, the Sopot Logistic Workshops. Dr Leszek Reszka presented their genesis, experiences from previous editions and steps taken to organize the fifth edition of the workshops planned for 22-23 November 2018.

The conference was accompanied by a number of additional attractions, including visit to the sealarium, a walk to Promontory and an integration evening.
