Cooperation with Brno University of Technology

On July 20, 2023, at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Gdańsk, we hosted a delegation from Brno University of Technology.

During the visit, common areas of scientific, research and educational interests were discussed, as well as organizational aspects of cooperation and the creation of joint study programs.

The talks also focused on the initiatives such as the International Week formula, as well as challenges related to new technologies. The meeting was also an opportunity to share best practices in the field of cooperation between the two universities.

The visit was attended by the vice-dean for external cooperation of the Faculty of Business and Management BUT, dr inż. Pavel Mracek and employees of the Dean's Offices of the Faculty of Business and Management from Brno University of Technology.

The guests were met by: vice-dean for development and cooperation with the socio-economic environment, dr Magdalena Markiewicz, coordinator for international cooperation dr hab.Joanna Kuczewska prof.UG, Erasmus+ coordinator for incoming students, dr hab.Anna Blajer - Gołębiewska, dr Aleksandra Borowicz, and employees of the Dean's Office of the University of Gdańsk, head Beata Szalkowska, MA, and Monika Lewiniec, MA.

The visit was an important element of the development of the existing cooperation, under which, among others, a joint Erasmus Mundus Design Measures application ERASMUS-EDU-2023-EMJM-DESIG was submitted, scientific workshops were organized (exchange of scientific interests and research projects between employees of the Faculty of Economics of the University of Gdańsk and the Faculty of Business and Management of BUT "Science Speed Dating").

Employees of the Faculty of Economics of the University of Gdańsk and the Faculty of Business and Management of BUT are working on launching a double-diploma program, the first pilot edition of which is planned for the academic year 2024/2025.
