The first TUTORING certificate at the Faculty

We obtained the first TUTORING certificate at the Faculty. Dr hab. Barbara Pawłowska, associate professor, completed the certification course at the Collegium Wratislaviense School of Tutors. Tutoring, as a method of personalized education, is based on regular, direct meetings of the tutor - a person with knowledge and experience in a given field with the tutee. Tutoring offers systematic, structured learning experience in a more individualized way. It also improves the tutee’s self-esteem, attitude toward subject matter, and academic performance as well as personal growth. Tutoring is considered as an innovative didactic and educational method, serving the development of potential and motivating self-development. It derives from the British educational tradition and was initiated at Oxford and Cambridge universities. Nowedays, it has been successfully practiced at many leading universities in the world.
