Close cooperation of the Faculty of Economics with the Polish Economic Society has been active for many years, both at the national and regional level (through the Gdansk Branch) in the field of publishing activities, co-organization of conferences and events popularizing science. An example is the pre-congress conference of the Polish Economic Society, Branch in Gdansk with the participation of the Baltic Sea and Space Cluster, president of PTE prof. Elżbieta Mączyńska, EC lecturers and business practitioners, which took place on September 25, 2019 at the Faculty of Economics. Research and teaching staff of the Faculty of Economics are also involved in works related to the Olympiad of Economic Knowledge, and many graduates of the Faculty of Economics take part in competitions for the best bachelor's and master's theses organized by the Gdansk branch of PTE (Lucjan Hofman Master's Thesis Competition and Witold Andruszkiewicz Bachelor's Thesis Competition).
