Graduation ceremony

On November 10, 2021 Graduates of the academic year 2020/2021 of the Faculty of Economics, University of Gdansk, received their Master diplomas. Graduates were presented with their diplomas in the following programs: Economics, International Economic Relations, and Business and Environmental Technology.
After the Polish national anthem and the traditional academic song Gaudeamus Igitur were played, the floor was taken by the Dean, Dr hab. Monika Bšk, professor of the University of Gdańsk, who welcomed all the participants, in particular the Graduates who came to the ceremony, and their Supervisors. The Dean congratulated the Graduates, invited them to further cooperation with the Faculty of Economics and encouraged them to continue their education and to obtain academic degrees. The same words in English were addressed to the students of the International Business specialization who took part in the ceremony. |

The Deputy Dean for Science, dr hab. Przemysław Borkowski, professor of the University of Gdańsk, invited Graduates who obtained the highest average grades in the course of their studies (the Best of the Year and Best of Specialisation Graduates). They were awarded by the Dean, dr hab. Monika Bšk, professor of the University of Gdańsk.
This was followed by awarding Graduates for their outstanding activities for the benefit of the academic community. The Deputy Dean for development and cooperation with the socio-economic environment, Dr. Magdalena Markiewicz, presented the profiles of the Graduates distinguished for they activities in the Scientific Clubs, the Students’ Council and their sports achievements. |

hen, on behalf of the graduates the speeches were delivered by Ms Nicole Lomnicka and Ms Kamila Ulmann, who summed up their time spent studying at the Faculty of Economics and the experience of distance learning during the ongoing pandemic in a beautiful, inspiring and at times funny way. |

The presentation of the diplomas to all Graduates was the most emotional point of the meeting. The diplomas were presented by the Dean in the company of the Supervisors who attended the ceremony.
