International Business Bachelors’ Graduation
On July 28, 2023, at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Gdańsk, a solemn ceremony of awarding diplomas to International Business bachelor studies graduates was held.

Handing over diplomas will crown a particular stage in your life. An important stage, because you have devoted three years not only to learning, which is the basis for further career and development, but also, and perhaps above all, to building relations - said Vice-Rector for International Cooperation, dr hab. Anna Jurkowska-Zeidler, prof. UG. - As an individual, you have a specific agency, and possibilities of action, but working together in a group, you can do anything.
The graduation ceremony is a valuable opportunity to reunite with professors, classmates and friends and an opportunity to maintain tradition by donning a gown and cap. It is a time of reflection on the acquired knowledge, skills and relationships established during the stay at the Faculty of Economics.
For graduates of bachelor studies in International Business it is the first opportunity to celebrate graduation. So far, such events concerned only master students.
- During this extraordinary ceremony, we will present diplomas and awards, recognising your exceptional dedication and extraordinary achievements throughout your academic career. It will be an evening full of pride, joy and well-deserved celebration of your hard work and success - announced the event Head of the International Business studies, dr Renata Orłowska.
It is worth noting that International Business has been a separate field of study since the academic year 2023/2024. It is based on the experience of the English-language International Business specialisation conducted so far in the field of International Economic Relations.
In 2008, when the International Economic Relations course was created, the first International Business specialisation in Poland was initiated, which is conducted every year with great success, attracting significant interest from candidates, students and employers.
The specialisation was supervised for 15 years by dr hab. Krystyna Żołądkiewicz, prof. UG, and thanks to her, the specialisation changed and developed along with market needs and high requirements for ensuring the quality of education.
Within three years, students acquire the knowledge and skills necessary for professional work in the analysis of international economic and social phenomena, taking into account cultural differences, and have the opportunity to obtain an international certificate in the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) Eikon Lab computer laboratory, also established in 2008, as well as in the SAP University Alliance (SAP) laboratory.
Many students also take advantage of the invaluable opportunity to study abroad as part of the highly developed international cooperation of the Faculty of Economics and the study offer available to all students in European and non-European countries.
