Sustainable development day at UG

On the 3rd of June 2019, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Faculty of Chemistry, University of Gdansk hosted the Sustainable Development Day at University of Gdansk. It was organized by three faculties: Faculty of Economics, Faculty of Chemistry, Faculty of Biology and the Hel Marine Station. As part of that day, a number of thematic lectures, workshops and presentations were organized. The event started with the lecture “Microplastics – what is wrong?” given by Prof. Beata Grobelna. Next, films on Plastic Ocean and Who pays for low prices? followed a presentation, namely: I respect – I segregate, how you can change the world by starting from yourself was presented. The next point was a meeting entitled Around the world without a CO2 footprint with Marek Kamiński, Polish traveler, polar explorer and businessman, who highlighted his new expedition. During that day, there were 10 thematic workshops conducted. The exhibition of 10 rules of fair trade accompanied the workshops.
