Under the decision of the Director of the National Centre for Research and Development prof. dr. eng. Maciej Chorowski of 28 February 2017, the project prepared by the Faculty of Economics "Innovative teaching - development of competence of lecturers of the Faculty of Economics" received a positive opinion and funding under the Competition NCBiR 1 / STAFF / POWER / 3.4 / 2016.

The aim of the project is to increase the level of competence of the teaching staff of the Faculty of Economics in the English language (training academic skills at the level of min. C1, Teaching for Professional Purposes), which will strengthen the potential for conducting seminars and presentations in a foreign language. Another important element of the project is conducting workshops in the field of statistical analysis and advanced features of MS Excel, raising skills of fast and efficient processing and visualization of data, aimed at acquiring the ability to assess the quality of information obtained from databases, interpreting them, as well as testing (eg. surveys, expert studies). The third pillar of the project is the module learning by doing using the case study method and design thinking, which aims to acquire and improve the skills of activating students during classes, moderate activities, analyse problems, prototype and implement the projects based on creative and multidisciplinary approach.

The project will be implemented starting September 2017. It establishes the practical use of skills and competence gained by teaching staff during the project in the classes conducted with the students of the Faculty of Economics. Implementation of the project will improve the quality of education by undertaking and analysis of advanced topics in the didactic process.
