"Logistics in theory and practice" conference

It was 14th edition of conference and will be remembered as the most successful. On Friday participants visited Deepwater Container Terminal in Gdansk. The second day had more scientific character – eight lectures given by representatives of the logistics industry and the audience  about forty listeners. We were honored to host Mr. Marek Świeczkowski  - Chairman of Cluster of Logistics and Transport “North-South”, Mr. Karol Moszyk -  Department of Operations DCT S.A., Mr. Sebastian Olszewski – Director of Key Accounts PKS Gdańsk-Oliwa S.A., Iwona Szczodruch - Distribution Centre of Jeronimo Martins Poland S.A., Jan Wierzba – agent of Let’s Deliver Sp. z o.o., Mr. Jarosław Łukawski – Deputy Chief of the Northern Region PKP Cargo S.A. Visitors showed us presentations about their job, logistics, transportation and technological systems in an enterprise. The second part of conference was The Logistic Game, which was prepared Mrs. Dorota Książkiewicz, Ph.D. and Mr. Dariusz Mierkiewicz, members of Young Experts Group. The aim of this game was to make a fully functioning supply chain which delivers raw materials from manufacturers to factory facilities. This was a fun, but also a good lesson for us.

We are back with new experiences, friendships and full of optimism and energy for future projects!
