Double Diploma Program

Thanks to the cooperation between the Faculty of Economics of the University of Gdansk and the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria in Steyr, students studying at the Bachelor Degree of the International Business specialization have the opportunity to become graduates of both Universities and obtain a double diploma.

The conditions for obtaining a double diploma are included in the Agreement on the Double Diplomas Program, signed in 2010 by the Faculty of Economics of the University of Gdansk and University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria in Steyr (information about the University: https://www.fh-ooe.at/en/).

In order to obtain a double diploma, students of the International Business specialization have to complete one academic year at the University of Steyr and meet all the requirements to obtain a Bachelor Degree at the Faculty of Economics, the University of Gdansk (including the preparation of the thesis and passing the diploma exam). The costs of a accommodation in Austria, as well as travel and insurance expenses are covered by the student from his own funds, however, there is a possibility to apply for a scholarship for one semester. under the Erasmus + Program. During the stay in Steyr, the student is not exempt from payment for studies at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Gdansk.

Opinion on the studies under the Double Diploma agreement

Decision about taking part in the Erasmus exchange and the Double Degree Program was for sure one of the best in my life. During five months of my stay at the Austrian University, I took part in classes run by incredible specialists and met tens of wonderful people from all over the world.

Great weather together with the student card and many discounts enabled our unforgettable journeys and discoveries of the furthest regions of the country.

Friendships that I made while studying, travelling and partying together with other exchange students will probably last forever, despite hundreds or even thousands of kilometers between us.

Studies in Steyr were for sure not the easiest ones. However, from a time perspective, I can say that it was worth taking 14 subjects (and studying Spanish in German :)), in order to get the Double Degree Diploma. I would not hesitate a second, if someone would have offered me to take part in this amazing adventure once again!
