Thomson Reuters Data Suite

TRDS is a collaborative project between the University of Gdansk, the Cities of Gdansk and Sopot and Thomson Reuters. TRDS is a modern 23-seat learning facility opened at the Faculty of Economics in 2008. The new facility provides free access to premium Thomson Reuters products – Reuters 3000Xtra and Reuters Knowledge.

It is the first project in Poland as well as in Central and Eastern Europe, where Thomson Reuters has created separate Data Suite, dedicated only to their products.

The University of Gdansk has joined other major European universities such as London Business School (United Kingdom), HEC (France), European Business School (Germany), Instituto de Empresa (Spain), Universitaet St. Gallen (Switzerland), INSEAD (France), Bocconi (Italy), IMD (Switzerland), American University in Dubai (United Arab Emirates), which have been already closely cooperating with Thomson Reuters.

Thomson Reuters is one of the most important world’s suppliers of intelligent information for businesses and professionals from financial, legal, tax and accounting, scientific, healthcare, and media market sectors. With the headquarters in New York and major operations in London and Eagan (Minnesota), Thomson Reuters employs more than 50 000 people in 93 countries.

In 2006 Thomson Reuters Tricity subsidiary (offices in Gdynia and Gdansk) was established and since then it has been one of the major global financial data operational centres.

Prof. Danuta Marciniak-Neider is a project manager of TRDS and Urszula Mrzygłód is its coordinator.
