TIDE project (7th Framework Program) covers the cooperation between scientific research centers and units implementing innovative solutions concerning public transport and sustainable mobility. The project leader is POLIS (Belgium). The total project budget is about 2,144 mio EUR. The project implementation is planned to begin in autumn 2012.

TIDE activities will involve learning more about 15 innovative enterprises and their implementation under five thematic groups which are, among others, financing and pricing policy models, non-motorised transport, electric vehicles or public transport organization.

The Chair of Transportation Market of the Faculty of Economics in cooperation with BKK Budapesti Közlekedési Központ (a transport centre for Budapest city) will carry out research concerning the possibility of implementing innovative solutions for public transport.
