Practical classes with Bayer at the Faculty

In November and December 2022, we hosted lecturers - trainers from Bayer company at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Gdańsk.


Thanks to cooperation with practitioners in the field of International Economic Relations, a variety of classes related to the skills and competences appropriate for individual specializations were held: Lean Management, Excel Intermediate and Business Communication.

It is a great opportunity to prepare students of the Faculty of Economics of the University of Gdańsk for efficient entry and functioning on the labor market.


On November 30, 2022, "Lean Management" classes took place in the third year of Bachelor studies in the International Business specialization with the specialists from Bayer, Mr. Sindre Dyngen and Mrs. Anna Maliarenko.

Lean Management has been introduced globally in production plants around the world and it has played a key role in the development of globalization processes. By accelerating global innovation, increasing production capacity and the quality control process, it enabled the development of e-commerce and broadly understood international trade. During the classes, the guests and students were looked after by Dr. Tomasz Bieliński, who teaches the subject "Globalization and regionalisation".


On December 7, 2022, "Excel Intermediate" classes took place in the third year of Bachelor studies in the specialization of International Finance and Banking with a trainer from Bayer, Mr. Przemysław Laskowski.
The use of non-standard Excel functions as one of the basic work tools is essential in analytical work, it helps in data analysis and visualization.The classes were held in a hybrid form in a computer room under the supervision of Dr. Magdalena Markiewicz, who conducts exercises within Investment Banking.


On December 14, 2022, classes on "Communication in business" took place in the group of the third year of Bachelor studies in the specialization of International Marketing with Mrs. Małgorzata Turska.
Students had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the practical aspects of verbal and non-verbal communication, as well as typical patterns and errors in communication.During the classes, the guests and students were looked after by Dr. Marcin Krzaczek, who teaches the subject "Marketing Communication".


The participation of practitioners in the classes was coordinated by dr Magdalena Markiewicz, vice-dean for development and cooperation with the socio-economic environment.
