Dr Renata Orłowska

 

 

Employee Profile

 

Dr Renata Orłowska is the Director of Executive MBA at the University of Gdansk. She holds a doctorate in economics and is employed at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Gdańsk as a lecturer. She also studied at HTW Berlin under the TEMPUS Program. She received her PhD in economics from the University of Gdansk. She completed post-graduate studies in Universal Banking at the Gdansk Banking Academy and is a graduate of post-graduate MBA studies at the University of Gdansk in cooperation with Copenhagen Business School, University of Antwerp and HTW Berlin. She also completed the Executive Summer Study, The Entrepreneurship Education Colloquium on Participant-Centered Learning Program at the Harvard Business School in Boston, USA. Dr Renata Orłowska is a certified academic tutor.

 

 
   

 

Her research is situated in the field of international economic relations,  with a special focus on international business, business cycles, international organizations, SME, development gap and international migration. She teaches at the Faculty of Economics, Faculty of Management and Modern Languages.

As part of inter-university cooperation, she lectured, among others at the University of Huddersfield in Great Britain, University of Zaragoza in Spain, University of Turku in Finland, HTW Berlin in Germany, University of Beira Interior in Portugal, University of Kobe in Japan and Western Sydney University in Australia.

 

 

 

   

Dr Renata Orłowska regularly participates in domestic and foreign scientific conferences, conducts joint research with foreign universities. She was a Fellow of Konrad Adenauer Stiftung, as well as a co-initiator of promoting the Fair Trade idea at the University of Gdansk. She is the coordinator of Erasmus KA 107 projects with Japan, Australia and Jordan for 2019-2022.

Dr Renata Orłowska is the supervisor of the Students’ Scientific Association of Effective Market Solutions - EFERR.

She authored numerous articles, comments and reviews in the field of international economics.
